Cooperative Grain Marketing: Changes, Issues, Alternatives

Abstract: This report discusses the various changes the cooperative grain marketing industry has experienced during the past 2 decades. The different influences and factors that led to these changes are analyzed. Issues currently affecting grain marketing cooperatives and that will define the future environment in which they operate are also discussed. Finally, some general directions that cooperatives can follow to become more competitive are outlined.
