International monitoring of the level of remuneration of scientific personnel using the example of the Payscale information resource

Abstract: The article provides an overview of the informational resource Payscale.com containing an extensive database of available vacancies in the world, salary levels for a variety of professions and positions, as well as supporting information for potential workers and employers. The site is full of analytical information about the existing types of specialties with a detailed description of the required competencies and skills, the average level of wages of specialists in a particular field, including scientific and technical sphere, regional differences in wages, the impact of skills, competencies, experience and other factors on the level of wages, etc. The overview presents a description of the structure of the site and the form of presentation of analytical information, as well as the results of the analysis of the current level of wages on the basis of the data from the site, through the example of the position of a research scientist. The article concludes that the information resource Payscale.com is a useful analytical tool for studying the international labor market and can serve as an example for creating a similar website for monitoring the domestic labor market in the scientific and technical sphere.
