Abstract: This study is devoted to assessing the relationship between the dynamics of defense spending in countries around the world with their economic growth, while this problem is becoming more relevant as geopolitical conflicts intensify in the modern world. This article assesses the key channels of influence of defense spending on the development of individual national economies, shows the main structural and dynamic changes in defense spending in an unstable geopolitical situation, and also demonstrates aspects of increasing defense spending in the context of the economic problems that developed countries face at the present stage. countries.
