Abstract:
In Turkey, most of the studies about children at work investigate specific sec- tors but studies about children working at street are limited. The purpose of this study is to determine current conditions and problems of children wor- king at street and improve solutions. In this study, descriptive method was used. The study was conducted in Eskiflehir and 198 children (185 male, 13 female) ages between 5 and 14 were participated to study. Data were collected by a questionnaire including 47 items and illustrated in frequency and percentage scattegrams. According to the findings most of the children working at street are male and ages between 9-14, from low income families, trading food/non-food, working whole year, earning montly 200.000.000 TLor below,being fed at streets, living with families and having no bad habits.
