Abstract:
In this issue, a technical contribution is made to the ongoing debate on differentiated autonomy by providing an original key to interpretation on the basis of the classification of Apulia's municipalities by centres and inner areas, albeit in the knowledge that what matters in terms of differentiated autonomy is the level of services (LEPs), while for the inner areas it is the accessibility of services in terms of travel time. What emerges is the statistical evidence of the significant differences between the municipalities belonging to the different typologies (Poles, Belt, Intermediate, Peripheral and Ultraperipheral) and therefore according to the distance from essential services. The hope that derives from this is that there will be a strong involvement of the Regions in setting the LEPs and that the various territories will be considered in their criticalities and vulnerability points with ample use of information and data as the basis for public choices, using appropriate criteria that take into account internal specificities.
