Abstract:
The 2016 Consob Report on corporate governance of Italian listed companies, although confirming the high ownership concentration and limited contestability of control of the Italian market, highlights new recent trends: the decrease of coalition control structures, an increase in widely held firms, rising shareholdings of institutional investors, women representation in Italian corporate boards that has broken the 30% ceiling
