Abstract: After the government imposed lockdowns and restricted safety measures to combat the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the Department of Education has formally opened schools for face-to-face instruction. These new hurdles tested the students’ mental toughness and coping methods. This study explores the academic resilience of Grade 10 students post-pandemic, focusing on their adaptation and coping mechanisms. Utilizing a qualitative-phenomenological approach, in-depth interviews with 12 students revealed four major themes: Rediscovering Academic Passion, Adapting to the New Normal, Redefining Interconnected Roles, and Acknowledging Disparities in Education. Their blending of concepts demonstrates resilience, demonstrating how failures can lead to powerful comebacks. Findings highlight how students transformed challenges into opportunities for growth, offering insights for policy and future research on education resilience and adaptation. Researchers can contribute useful insights into ongoing educational development by focusing on longitudinal studies, demographic differences, learning models, technological impacts, resilience programs, and policy evaluations.
