Abstract:
The experience of the global network of barter in Argentina based on the existence of a social currency, occupies recently the front of the eco-nomic scene. Nevertheless, these new forms of exchanges of the solidary economy join a long historic filiation of experiences with monetary character, as for example the theory of the exchanges and the credit of P.-J. Proudhon who, by using a social currency (the credit) as privileged instrument of social change, seems to have to find today its application in the Argentine reality.
