Abstract:
The rapid growth of logistics service providers (LSP) has become a reality in many developed countries, but also in economies in transition. They now offer a wide range of services to their clients, and they demonstrate a significant innovation capability in the creation of new value added services. The question is whether their clients are aware that innovation capability positively influences their logistical performance. If it is the case, it would mean that the most innovative LSP are in a favorable position on the market, and they can expect a strong loyalty of their clients. This article studies the link between the innovation capability of LSP and the logistical performance perceived by the manufacturer, from the results of a research conducted with 139 Vietnamese food manufacturers.
