Abstract:
This article proposes an estimation on Moroccan and Tunisian matched data of the human capital external effects on wages and of interfirms wage differentials. The data allow to introduce the organizational features and the average human capital of firms into an earnings function. The results show that teamwork and job rotation stimulate a positive externality of education on earnings. Interfirms wage differentials of Moroccans are explained by compensating wages for working conditions. The wage practices of Tunisian employers could be justified by alternative approaches (efficiency wages). The estimation technique allows to isolate and to examine the distribution of the ?wage inefficiency? of employees. Classification JEL : J24, J31, O12
