Abstract:
The scientific debate on the pillars of collective action has found common ground for application throughout the reflection on economic governance of common goods, by Elinor Ostrom. This paper examines the foundations of the behavioral approach for collective action proposed by Ostrom along with possible extensions to the social and solidarity economy in terms of democratic aspirations and reciprocity as vehicles for collective action.
