Abstract:
The workforce with low and average skills is today very strongly impacted, feeling pressure on the one hand due to the inequality and vulnerability in work that it is forced to face, in the context of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, and, on the other hand, due to the economic situation and the changes caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. All these irreversible changes in society generate the restructuring of the social division of labor. The aim of the paper is to identify the transformations at the level of the employment registered in the period 2019-2020, at the level of two developing states, members of the European Union: Bulgaria and Romania.
