Abstract: Der Artikel beschreibt die Struktur und die Entwicklungen im Gastgewerbe und vergleicht diese Entwicklungen mit den vom ifo Institut erhobenen Daten. Im Ergebnis zeigt sich, dass die Konjunkturtestdaten die Entwicklungen am Markt gut nachzeichnen und als Informationsquelle für Unternehmen und Forschung herangezogen werden können.
