Abstract: Probleme der Layout- bzw. innerbetrieblichen Standortplanung gehören mathematisch zu den schwierigsten Problemen der kombinatorischen Optimierung. Daniel Scholz bietet einen Überblick zum aktuellen Forschungsstand der Layout- bzw. innerbetrieblichen Standortplanung, d.h. der kostenminimalen Gestaltung von Produktionslayouts. Er stellt aktuelle Lösungskonzepte dar und beschreibt ihre Anwendung an einem Praxisbeispiel. Im Zentrum der Betrachtung steht das Konzept der Slicing Trees zur Speicherung von Layoutstrukturen. Darauf aufbauend werden exakte Lösungsverfahren sowie Metaheuristiken entworfen und bis zur praktischen Anwendbarkeit weiterentwickelt.
