About biskyrmion formation in antiferromagnetic clusters: Biferron, bisoliton vs biskyrmion

Abstract: The paper analyses the spin configuration of a pair of impurities and shows that the biferron formed is a bisoliton, giving the system a biskyrmion topology. It is shown that the distance between the magnetic depletion patterns varies with the bond length of the impurities. The spin displacement is shown to verify a system of self-trapping equations in which both the magnetization and the polarization exhibit a double depletion signature of the bisolitonic wave, which propagates as the bond impurity moves through the crystal. The depletion spacing is fixed, quantized and tailors the obtained spin texture. In terms of the global spin configuration, the topology presents a pair of spin vortices with opposite magnetic helicities. The obtained biskyrmions are of the Neel-type for the weak Dzyaloshinsky–Moriya (DMI) interaction, and for the large DMI we have the Bloch type. Therefore, we report here the way to probe magnetic biskyrmions in antiferromagnetic clusters with DMI based on the bisoliton wave resulting from the biferron spin rearrangement and show the evidence of the occurrence of two spin configurations mimicking Neel-type and Bloch-type biskyrmions; thus, the work reveals once more the dualism between ferrons and magnetic skyrmions(solitons).
