Cultural transmission of civicness

Martin Ljunge

Economics Letters, 2012, vol. 117, issue 1, 291-294

Abstract: This paper estimates the intergeneration transmission of civicness by studying second generation immigrants in 29 European countries. There is a significant transmission of civicness both on the mother’s and father’s side. The estimates provide evidence on the transmission of trustworthiness.
