Abstract: In this paper, effects on the performance of a combined gas turbine and organic Rankine cycle (GT/ORC) system of using thermophysical and thermochemical recuperation based on methane steam reforming (MSR) process is investigated from the viewpoint of thermoeconomics. For this purpose, three power generation systems consisting of simple GT/ORC, GT/ORC with thermophysical recuperators (TPR) and GT/ORC with thermophysical and thermochemical recuperators (TPCR) are proposed and compared thermodynamically and economically. In addition, the multi-objective optimization using genetic algorithm is conducted for the systems and the systems characteristics at the final optimum design points are compared.
