Abstract:
The proliferation of distributed generators (DGs) challenges energy accommodation in active distribution networks (ADNs). This paper proposes a Stackelberg game-based interaction strategy for collaborative management of ADN and electricity-driven central energy stations (CESs) by transactive price guidance. ADN acts as the leader and aims to minimize network loss and DGs' curtailment with designing day-ahead transactive price (DATP) for CESs, while CESs are followers who participate in price-incentive demand response to improve self-own economy. Via DATP optimally regulated, flexibilities of thermal storages in CESs are fully utilized through sequential storage-release behaviors to promote energy accommodation. In view of spatial synergy deficiency, active/reactive power flow regulation abilities of soft open points (SOPs) are exploited to coordinate multiple CESs, along with supply-demand matching further facilitated. Via convexification with cutting planes for ADN and Karush-Kuhn-Tucker (KKT) condition generation for CESs, the leader-follower interaction is tackled to a mixed-integer second-order cone programming (MISOCP) formulation, which is a tractable single-level problem. Results show the proposed interaction strategy can adequately invoke multi-CES potentials, achieving nearly 54% decrease in DG curtailment. SOPs’ introduction will contribute further 25.7% accommodation of initial curtailed power. Additionally, cutting plane integrated MISOCP model can obtain efficient and accurate solution with deviation below 1.0e-5.
