Finance Research Letters, 2023, vol. 56, issue C
Abstract:
This paper analyzes the possible impact of innovation performance on internationalization and conducts an empirical analysis by selecting a sample of listed firms in the high-tech manufacturing industry from 2018 to 2021. It is found that innovation performance decreases internationalization, and the lower the innovation performance, the more aggressive the rhythm of firms' overseas expansion; the overseas experience of executives, executive compensation, and executive shareholding can significantly weaken the negative effect of firms' innovation performance on the rhythm of firms' overseas expansion.
