Zhenlin Dong and Hong Li

Finance Research Letters, 2023, vol. 58, issue PA

Abstract: Green innovation is a strategic key for enterprises to gain competitive advantage. However, few studies have focused on the efficiency of green innovation, especially on the influence mechanism of Confucianism on the efficiency of green innovation. Therefore, based on the perspective of social responsibility theory, this paper empirically examines the influence of Confucianism on the efficiency of corporate green innovation and the mediating role of CSR, using A-share listed companies from 2011 to 2021 as the research sample. The findings provide a new perspective for improving the efficiency of corporate green innovation, and promoting the high-quality development of green ecological civilization.
