Abstract:
This study investigates the relation among the carbon emissions trading policy (CETP), green credit, and green innovation among listed enterprises in China, utilizing panel data from 2013 to 2021. The primary findings suggest that: (1) CETP exerts a significantly positive effect on enterprise green innovation, including patents for inventions and utility models. (2) CETP enhances green innovation and patents for inventions through the mediating role of green credit. (3) Environmental regulations act as a positive moderator, enhancing the relationship between CETP and enterprise green innovation.
