Abstract:
This study utilizes data from Taobao Villages and the China Household Finance Survey (CHFS) from 2015 to 2019 to analyze the impact of digital village construction on the entrepreneurial activities of farmers. The results indicate that the digitalization of rural areas significantly enhances the entrepreneurial activities of farmers. Mediating effect analysis reveals that the popularization of the digital economy and capital asset allocation play a facilitating role between digital village construction and entrepreneurial activities of farmers. Furthermore, farmer groups with higher levels of education, income, and Second-tier cities are more effective in utilizing digital resources for entrepreneurship.
