International entrepreneurship and the internationalization phenomenon: taking stock, looking ahead

Antonella Zucchella

International Business Review, 2021, vol. 30, issue 2

Abstract: This contribution discusses the state of the art of research in International Entrepreneurship. In taking stock of three decades of scientific inquiry in the field, this article also looks ahead, pointing at some future research directions. The latter particularly focus on two aspects: the levels of analysis, individual, organizational and inter-organizational, and the founding constructs of the field, distance and opportunities.
