Abstract: Karen Mundy is a Professor of Education Policy and Leadership at the University of Toronto, and an award-winning scholar in the field of International Education Development. Her career has included sustained engagement and leadership in international development organizations, most notably the Global Partnership for Education and UNESCO. In this piece she reflects on current challenges and opportunities for our field derived from three main autobiographical streams: her life as a scholar; within international development organizations; and her private or personal life.
