Abstract: Within the past decades both the number and quality of the airports in the world has been growing significantly. Despite this fact, research areas such as, performance evaluation and ranking of these airports based on different sets of criteria and techniques, are conspicuously untapped. This study aims to contribute to this area by proposing an evaluation and ranking model using an integration of Taguchi Loss Function, best-worst method (BWM) and VIKOR technique. The proposed model allows decision makers to set different target values and consumer's tolerance thresholds for each criterion based on which country's airports are being ranked and also reduce the amount of pairwise comparisons by using BWM. Also a real world case study is presented.
