Abstract:
This paper assesses the influence of resource efficiency and the cultural industry on the green economic growth of 14 Asian frontier and developing economies, utilizing a quantitative approach with a panel data framework. Examining data from 2010 to 2021, the study reveals a significant obstacle to green energy deployment—heightened fossil fuels intensity, underscoring the imperative to enhance fossil fuels efficiency. Cultural expenditure exhibits a negative impact, prompting a realignment of cultural policies to align with environmental goals. The Education Index demonstrates a positive correlation with green energy deployment, highlighting the pivotal role of education. Unexpectedly, ICT expansion negatively affects green growth due to increased electricity consumption, necessitating nuanced policies. Importantly, the positive influence of imports of green components underscores the motivating role of international collaboration. Policy recommendations center on improving fossil fuels efficiency, realigning cultural policies, enhancing education, and fostering international collaboration for sustainable development in Asian economies.
