Abstract:
Environmental preservation is of the most significant concern for numerous reasons, including the protection of biodiversity, the sustenance of life on Earth, and the long-term viability of its resources. The correlation between carbon emissions and natural resources is significant, as the procurement, processing, and utilization of diverse resources inevitably lead to carbon dioxide emissions. The study employed the advanced GMM-PVAR methodology to assess the impact of energy efficiency, natural resources, trade ratio, and fintech on carbon emissions in the six leading manufacturing nations. The range of the twenty-one-year data period is from 2000 to 2021. The analysis proposes environmentally conscientious trading strategies and energy-conservation measures in light of empirical findings. A positive correlation is illustrated by the GMM-PVAR model between carbon emissions, trade openness, and natural resources. However, energy efficiency and fintech both reduce carbon emissions. In light of these findings, the analysis suggests that to promote sustainable trade, these nations should strengthen their trade ties with prosperous countries. Additionally, it is recommended that countries prioritize the transition to sustainable energy sources, reduce reliance on energy sources that demand significant amounts of resources, and mitigate carbon emissions. Moreover, fintech firms may provide funding alternatives for initiatives that contribute to sustainability. Government entities can reduce their overall energy consumption by increasing efficiency across various sectors.
