Assessment of selected land consolidation in south-eastern Poland

Izabela Basista and Monika Balawejder

Land Use Policy, 2020, vol. 99, issue C

Abstract: The main purpose of the research was to assess the completed land consolidation and exchange works in south-eastern Poland, which is characterized by large fragmentation and dispersion of cadastral plots. Optimal distribution of cadastral plots and their fragmentation in the merged object were examined. The article presents the land consolidation and exchange object, which was described by a number of parameters determining its effectiveness. These include, among others, the area, the number of cadastral plots and the dispersion of cadastral plots. Among others, the average number of cadastral plots and the area of cadastral plots in the village and in the registration unit were calculated. The dispersion of cadastral plots in the registration unit was also calculated. Particular attention has been paid to the distribution of registration plots within the registration unit. The distribution was examined on road networks and in a straight line. The above parameters were calculated for the state before and after the land consolidation. The results for each of the objects are summarized in the table and compared with each other. All tests were performed using GIS tools.
