Designing nonlinear controllers using connectionist networks

Abstract: In this paper we focus on the use of adaptive connectionist networks as a tool for designing controllers for nonlinear dynamic systems. A general interrelation between representation, control and learning is set up. We have developed controllers for nonlinear systems using three control techniques. This provides a step towards the goal of generating systematic control design techniques for nonlinear systems.
