Generalized parallel sampling

T.W. Whitfield, L. Bu and J.E. Straub

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 2002, vol. 305, issue 1, 157-171

Abstract: We develop a generalized version of the parallel tempering algorithm, based upon the non-extensive thermostatistics of Tsallis and coworkers. The effectiveness of the method is demonstrated on a simple one-dimensional problem and on a Lennard-Jones cluster.
