Statistics & Probability Letters, 2010, vol. 80, issue 9-10, 797-806

Abstract: The mean residual life function plays an important role in reliability theory and other branches of statistics. In this paper, we study some ageing properties of the residual life of , the nth upper k-records, given that , where n[greater-or-equal, slanted]m. Some stochastic comparison results among generalized residual record values in two-sample problems are also established here.
