Abstract:
To increase the efficiency of distributing imported grain in the context of China’s Belt and Road initiative, this paper selects 23 imported grain distribution nodes based on qualitative approach, then evaluates the importance of each node in freight railway, highway, and waterway networks using complex network theory. The distribution capacity of imported grain distribution nodes is comprehensively evaluated using the improved entropy TOPSIS. Guangzhou, Lianyungang, Shanghai, Tianjin, Chongqing, and Xi’an are selected as the final imported grain distribution centers among the 23 nodes with consideration of government policies and the Belt and Road initiative operation experience.
