Abstract:
A broad picture of the nature and value of patent information to both business and academia is presented. The resources available world-wide to harness this information for end-users are described, country-by-country for selected regions, including the USA, UK and Europe, but with emphasis on the Far East and Pacific (India, Japan, China, Malaysia, Australia).
