Macro-economic assessment of climate change impacts: methods and findings

Abstract: The paper introduces the challenges posed by the macro-economic assessment of climate change impacts and describes the main investigation methodologies used by the economic literature to address these challenges. Strengths and weaknesses f the different approaches are presented. The paper then presents the major findings from this literature providing a critical guidance in their interpretation. The paper concludes highlighting policy implications and discussing the evolution of the research developments in the future.
