Abstract: Traditional knowledge of medicinal plants used by the indigenous people and local communities has been discussed in national and international forums. Developing countries are taking steps to document such knowledge, which is fast disappearing amidst the increasing use of modern medicine among the younger generation, who is less keen to inherit such knowledge from traditional practitioners
