Determinantes económicos del nivel de empleo. Alguna evidencia para Argentina

Luis Lanteri ()

Ensayos Revista de Economia, 2013, vol. XXXII, issue 1, 73-100

Abstract: During the nineties, some developing countries undertook reforms in the labor market and opened their economies to the world, measures that are not translated, as expected, in substantial improvements in employment levels and incomes in these economies. Argentina, however, adopted in recent years a policy aimed to protect the domestic market which allowed to increase the level of employment significantly. In this paper, we analyze the Argentine labor market, from a labor demand equation and VEC models (Vector Equilibrium Correction Model), according to Johansen (1988) and Johansen and Juselius (1990) approach, covering the period 1994:3-2011:2.
