Abstract: The purpose of this study is to explore the impacts of “positive emotions” through the App Inventor 2 Ship Fuel-Saving Project on the “positive emotions literacy” and “ship fuel-saving literacy” of university students of the Engineering Department. In this study, 115 students were selected as the research object, experimental teaching was conducted in a group cooperative learning mode, and the positive emotional elements were integrated into the AI 2 Ship Fuel-Saving Project. The research conclusions were as follows. (1) The Blended teaching method and the mixed learning program of the “Positive AI 2 Fuel-Saving Project” provided students with diversified learning channels; (2) the Project presented significant positive affirmation for the improvement of students’ positive emotional literacy; (3) the Project resulted in significantly greater improvement of students’ fuel-saving literacy in the experimental group than in the control group; (4) students in the experimental group showed the best positive emotion with confidence in the learning process of the project; and (5) the “ship fuel-saving literacy” and “ship fuel-saving works achievement” of students in the experimental group showed a significantly high positive correlation. Finally, the “Positive AI 2 Fuel-Saving Project Teaching Mode” was constructed, which can be a reference for promoting the practical teaching of positive emotions and ship fuel-saving literacy in the future.
