Abstract:
This article is focused on the work of contemporary French authors on Degrowth. The main idea of these authors is based on the view that all existing growth models are both ecologically unsustainable and socially unjust. French authors are following an older tradition of criticism which was developed since the 1960s. This article presents the French proponents of degrowth and their main ideas, explores the theoretical pillars of their approaches and analyzes their limits.
