Abstract: The question of the industrialization in the particular context of a rent-oriented economy can be apprehended in a particularly fertile way through the analysis of the combination of the institutional forms, which are considered as fundamental by the Regulation School. After a characterization of the changes which took place, these two last decades, in the concrete configuration of each of the institutional forms, it is intended to highlight the institutional dimension of the question of industrialization through the examination of the impact of each of the institional form on the development of a manufacturing industry in Algeria.
