Abstract: What are the actual state-of-art of the innovative processes in Russia and the trends of their development? The authors attempt to answer this question by analyzing trends of the innovation development in different sectors in the pre-crisis period. In this case, there are three problems. The first relates to the generally low level of innovation activity of business enterprises, the second is a low-impact implementation of innovations, almost invisible in the scale of the national economy, and the third is the economic impact of the global financial crisis, which on the one hand, have a negative impact on the economy, especially its most vulnerable innovative sector, but, on the other hand, can lead to the economic reorientation from the raw-based to manufacturing sectors. This will largely determine the future outlook of the Russian economy and its competitiveness in global markets. Note: Downloadable document is in Russian.
