Abstract:
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a group of neurodevelopmental disorders characterized by impairments in social interaction and communication as well as behavior. Usually children with ASD have comorbid language disorders and/or delay. The present study concentrated on single-word recognition in 7-to-11-year-old Russian children with ASD. The results showed that primary-school-aged children with autism have difficulties even with such a basic process as single-word recognition.
