Abstract: "The Panel Study Labour Market und Social Security (PASS)continuously seeks to develop and test novel methods to ensure high data quality. In this report, we summarize the results of a project on deviant interviewer behavior. The main focus of the improved quality controls is on statistical identification methods such as the analysis of timestamps, longitudinal correlations, and established statistical indicators. The project led to the identification of two interviewers who deviated from the prescribed guidelines for large parts of their workload. Thus, the interviews conducted by these interviewers were removed from the data. The total number of affected interviews is rather small. In sum, 0.41 percent of the person interviews and 0.37 percent of the household interviews were removed. The applied statistical control methods will be added to the routine data quality controls during the field period in future PASS waves." (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku) ((en))
