Abstract:
"The mobility industry in Germany is subject to constant change and far-reaching transformations can also be expected in the future. An initial "MoveOn" study (Mergener et al. 2018) analysed in detail how mobility is currently positioned in Germany and who is employed there. However, the question of how mobility change is already impacting the industries and occupations concerned from the company's point of view and how this could be the case in the future, i.e. what entrepreneurial and technological changes could be expected on the supply side, has not yet been examined. This work is intended to build directly on this. The aim is to create the so-called MoveOn scenario, whose results will be published in a subsequent study. Guideline-based interviews of company representatives who either directly or indirectly belong to the mobility industry were used to obtain their assessments on the expected development of this very industry. Together with the results of a literature research, these results are incorporated into the assumptions of the MoveOn scenario. In this report, the findings of literature research and interviews as well as conceivable assumptions derived from them are described in detail in order to explain the wide range of possible variables and to stimulate a scientific discussion about them. Furthermore, the effects of the necessary measures to contain the Covid19 pandemic must be considered." (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku) ((en))
