Abstract: "Labour migration is often seen as important to address demographic changes and increasing labour shortages. At the same time, the potential economic and social consequences of migration are the subject of public controversy. Therefore, public acceptance is an important factor for the success of migration policies. We investigate under which conditions survey respondents from the German labour force are in favour of non-EU labour migration and, if this is the case, what lengths of stay are considered acceptable for certain groups of migrants."
