Abstract: "In using georeferenced data, we systematically describe and analyze small-scale wage inequalities within German cities. The small-scale wage inequality is systematically lower in East German cities and decreases more over time than in West German cities. Different employment patterns and the introduction of the minimum wage explain these two findings to a large extent." (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku) ((en))
