Abstract: The article justifies a functional approach to formation of the adaptive system of professional training of industrial workers using example of engineering enterprises of the Kharkiv region. It provides ten factors that influence the system of professional training of workers. Use of the factor and criterion model allows determination of the general level of adaptation of the system and adaptation to influence of individual factors. Modelling with structural equations results in determination of the degree of adaptability of the system of professional training of workers. Use of the method of hierarchies allows establishment of priorities of management functions depending on the degree of adaptability of this system. The improved methodical approach to formation of the adaptive system of professional training of industrial workers, unlike the existing approaches, is based on identification and further comparison of the level of adaptation and degree of adaptability of the system, and justification, on its basis, of matrices of measures by adaptive management of this system, which take into account priority of management functions with a relevant degree of adaptability of the system of professional training of workers.
