A meta-analysis of continuous technology usage behaviour

Abstract:
Continuous technology usage has become a critical factor in maintaining business continuity as the key motive to achieve the values from the initial launching of this technology. A review of literature on continuous usage indicates that while there are many studies which tried to examine the factors affecting individual's intention of continuous usage, however, there are few studies which have attempted to explore beyond the intention stage by addressing the continuous usage behaviour. Therefore, this paper reviewed the existing literature on continuous usage behaviour. The final list includes 55 relevant studies which can lead to an understanding of the research trends that were conducted on continuous behaviour. This study found that flow, intention, satisfaction, habit, perceived enjoyment, trust and perceived usefulness are the most significant drivers of continuous behaviour. The review reveals that the factors affecting continuous behaviour in east and west culture are different. Several recommendations in continuous usage behaviour are proposed.
