Action Research on Rural Development for Rural Poor: The Dharampur and Jawaja Projects

Abstract: The paper presents the experiences of two action projects of rural development undertaken by IIMA. It reviews the experiences and learning elements in order to generate alternative strategies and policies based upon structural implementation for action at the micro level. The paper attempts to answer the question: “In the light of these two experiences, how, when, what kind by whom should rural development programmes be implemented in different situations to achieve the goals and objectives.
