The Jordanian migration system in transition

Abstract: Based on data available from various surveys and other information sources, attempts to determine the volume and characteristics of recent return migration flows in Jordan. Focuses on the impact of return migration on Jordanian domestic labour market and economy and concludes with an overview of possible policy options for the coming years. Covers trends from 1970 to 1986 and projections from 1986 to 1990.
