Abstract:
This report outlines the methodology implemented for case collection in the Public Sector Tech Watch observatory. It encompasses the taxonomy designed to categorise collected use cases of emerging technologies, alongside the protocols established for data gathering and dataset maintenance. Under development by the Joint Research Centre since 2021, this methodology has been employed in various reports aiming to collect and examine data on the application of emerging technologies in the public sector. The most recent iteration of this methodology was designed to strengthen the scientific support for the Public Sector Tech Watch observatory, ensuring a robust and methodologically sound framework for the ongoing collection, analysis and dissemination of use cases.
